Project Overview
The Khatima Bus Terminal is a proposed transportation hub by the District Development Authority, Udham Singh Nagar, envisioned to enhance regional mobility, tourism, and urban infrastructure in the growing town of Khatima, Uttarakhand. The terminal is designed with modern planning principles, featuring a G+1 structure with provisions for future vertical expansion. It includes a ticketing lobby, waiting lounges, food court, retail shops, cloakroom, dispensary, driver’s shelter, and ATMs. The platform wing accommodates 10 bus bays (expandable to 22), 8 idle bus parking bays, and shaded pedestrian access.
Project Proposal
With a dedicated three-wheeler and car parking, STP, fuel station, workshops, and a landscaped green area, the terminal offers a well-organized transit experience. The total project cost is estimated at ₹982.38 lakhs. The project supports employment, local commerce, and sustainable urban growth in Khatima.
