Sati Kund

Project Overview

It is situated in the kankhal, Haridwar & is Completely devoted to the Goddess Sati who has burnt herself in this Kund as per the mythological texts of Hinduism

Project Proposal

It is radial planning with focus given to the central part of the park. A Fire statue of deity sati is placed in the centre of the park with water all around it. A pedestrian for walking surrounded by the murals of 52 Shakti Peeths. Elements of Indian architecture like columns are placed around the walkway, which direct light towards the display area at night. The park also has a light and sound show area plus it has play area for children. The park thus designed is done so that it attracts more tourists and help in generating revenue.
