Project Overview
Pilibhit House, a luxury boutique hotel on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar, is a restored century-old mansion that beautifully blends heritage with contemporary hospitality. Originally built between 1925–1930 and later acquired by the Prasad family, the mansion was transformed into a boutique retreat through a sensitive design approach. The project was undertaken in collaboration with PSDA Studio and Accurate & Associates, who worked together to retain the architectural soul of the property while upgrading it for modern use. The design team preserved the load-bearing structure, respected riverside height restrictions, tackled dampness issues, and introduced two additional floors with RCC framing that harmonize with the historic form. Interiors curated by Khozema Chitalwala reflect a satvik aesthetic rooted in Indian minimalism — featuring neutral palettes, vintage furniture, and local crafts. With 35 rooms and suites, an infinity pool, riverside terrace, spa, and vegetarian restaurant, Pilibhit House is a serene retreat that reinterprets tradition for today’s luxury traveller.
