Project Proposal
The proposed roundabout in Nainital is a landscape-centric urban feature designed to enhance the identity of the area while improving traffic flow and aesthetics. At its center stands a statue of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, a key historical and political figure, symbolizing pride and heritage. The statue is elevated and surrounded by a semi-circular waterbody with cascading fountains, creating a visually striking focal point. The entire roundabout is paved with cobblestone patterns, adding texture and elegance, while tiered steps offer elevation and symmetry. Palm trees and well-lit streetlamps encircle the roundabout, enhancing visibility and nighttime ambience. Thoughtfully placed landscape elements and seating ensure both visual appeal and usability. The design integrates local character with modern urban aesthetics, making it a welcoming public landmark for residents and visitors
