Project Overview
Janki Gurukulam in Nepal is a culturally rooted and spiritually inspired educational campus envisioned to revive the ancient Indian Gurukul system. The project integrates traditional Vedic learning with a serene, nature-focused environment to foster holistic growth in students. The layout follows principles of sacred geometry and Vaastu, ensuring spiritual harmony and functional coherence. The campus is composed of key elements such as classrooms, residential quarters for students and gurus, prayer halls, a Yagyashala, dining areas, and open courtyards that encourage collective learning and community living. Earthy materials, sloped roofs, and arched corridors reflect vernacular architecture, while open verandas and shaded walkways enhance thermal comfort.
Project Proposal
Special attention is given to landscaped gardens, sacred groves, and meditation zones to nurture spiritual practice alongside formal education. The Gurukulam serves not only as an academic institution but as a sanctuary for value-based, self-disciplined, and environmentally conscious living—deeply rooted in tradition yet prepared for contemporary relevance.
