Project Proposal
The proposed redevelopment of Bhimtal Lakefront aims to enhance the existing tourist infrastructure while preserving the natural beauty of the area. The site, a popular tourist destination in Nainital district, currently lacks organized facilities. The proposal includes a structured boating dock with a jetty for safe and accessible water activities. A trellis walkway along the lake, constructed using natural materials, encourages scenic pedestrian movement. Key features include landscaped lawns, gazebos, a kids play area, open stage, fire pit seating, and improved approach roads. A lakeside café with indoor, dockside, and mezzanine seating is also planned to elevate the visitor experience. The integration of street furniture and designated zones for leisure and cultural activities aims to transform Bhimtal into a vibrant, eco-sensitive, and tourist-friendly lakefront destination.
