Project Overview
The Bhalla Stadium redevelopment project in Haridwar aims to transform the existing facility—originally planned for football and athletics—into a modern, multi-functional sports and recreational complex. Located centrally near the Ganga River and surrounded by institutional, residential, and commercial zones, the site enjoys excellent connectivity via Haridwar Main Road and Roorkee–Haridwar Road. The upgraded master plan introduces four key zones:
Zone D: Hostel accommodations with 24 double-bed rooms and parking
Zone A: Entrance plaza with food court, kiosks, canteen, and ticketing facilities
Zone B: Dormitories, staff rooms, a shared kitchen, and two-wheeler parking
Zone C: The main sports zone featuring an indoor sports complex, table tennis and snooker areas, swimming pool, basketball court, and a children’s play area
Project Proposal
The redevelopment retains the stadium’s core identity for football and running while integrating new amenities such as a pavilion, multipurpose halls, and landscaped zones. The project focuses on accessibility, sustainability, and community engagement—establishing Bhalla Stadium as a state-of-the-art sports and youth development hub for Haridwar.
