Project Overview
The Saptrishi Bandha project focuses on the riverfront development of a 2.5 km stretch along the Ganga, from Gurukarshni Ghat to Geeta Kuteer Ghat in Haridwar. This spiritually significant site, often visited by saints and devotees for meditation and prayer, is also popular with tourists and morning walkers.
Project Proposal
The proposal aims to enhance the user experience through organized interventions, including dedicated parking zones, toilet facilities, covered and open sit-outs, selfie points, and improved pathways. A redesigned entrance walkway will feature murals and statues inspired by the Saptrishis and Vedic teachings, creating a culturally immersive atmosphere. The retaining walls are proposed to be beautified with tribal art and plantations, enhancing the visual appeal of the landscape. Overall, the project blends spiritual, functional, and aesthetic elements to create a harmonious and accessible riverfront space that caters to pilgrims, locals, and tourists alike.
