Project Overview
Ganga Prem Hospice (GPH) is a spiritually oriented, non-profit hospice situated at the foothills of the Himalayas along the serene banks of the River Ganga in Rishikesh. Dedicated to serving terminally ill patients, the hospice integrates medical, emotional, social, and spiritual care for both patients and their families in a compassionate, holistic environment.
Project Proposal
The architectural planning is deeply sensitive to the needs of the patients, with thoughtfully designed spaces that open up to calming vistas of the Ganga. Special emphasis is placed on areas for contemplation and peace, such as an open-air theatre (OAT) and a river-facing temple shrine. These spaces are not only visually and spiritually uplifting but also provide quiet corners for reflection, prayer, and solace. Blending nature, spirituality, and care, GPH offers a unique sanctuary where patients can spend their final days in dignity, comfort, and serenity.
