Project Overview
The site is located on the bank of Naukuchiatal Lake, a tourist destination in the Nainital district. The area around the lake is covered in lush greenery, consisting of trees and shrubs, adding to its scenic charm.
It attracts visitors who enjoy boating and other water activities. However, the existing infrastructure at the site, including the boating deck and its approach, parking area, waiting and seating area, and ticket booth, was disorganized and in need of improvement.
Project Proposal
The new design includes a jetty dock, providing a secure and accessible platform for boating activities. The parking area has been managed better in the proposal to accommodate a larger number of vehicles and improve the overall traffic flow. The site now includes 12 car parks. Additionally, a waiting and seating area have been created with a seating capacity of 54 to provide a comfortable space for visitors to relax and enjoy the surroundings while waiting for their turn for boating.
