Project Proposal
The proposal aims to revitalize a 500–600-meter stretch of Mall Road, the primary market area in New Tehri, through site beautification and façade enhancement. The project focuses on creating visual uniformity and improving pedestrian experience by treating open spaces, key junctions, and street edges. Key interventions include façade redesign for existing shops, pavement upgrades using granite and cobblestone, and the installation of coordinated street furniture such as benches, lamps, dustbins, and railings. Public amenities like well-designed toilets and a bus stop are also part of the proposal. Aesthetic upgrades feature vertical gardens, use of slate stone and wood materials, and 3D murals that reflect Tehri’s history and culture. The project intends to create a cohesive, functional, and visually engaging urban environment.
